Would you support a U.N. Sanction on the grounds of human rights violations against Lebanon for shoving an object up men's ass without lube to test if they're homosexual?
Closing this poll as the UN has honestly done all they could and the Medical Board of Lebanon has tried to help homosexuals avoid this, but there's not much they can do with homophobic officers :/
I mean it sucks that it happens. But it's not sanction worthy. If we enacted sanctions against every country that did something that we didn't like, we'd be pretty isolationist.
We wrote the U.N human rights legislation to prevent groups from being treated in humanely and the bill includes sexual orientation. They're all human. This is a violation of that law.
Also no many countries don't do things like this. The UN already had to pressure this nation once to cut it out. What countries do things equivalent to this?
Well mane not specifically this, but it's always something. Many countries are violating some kind of UN legislation.
Like what? If so then more people need to bring it to attention.
That sounds like a joke from South Park or something.
Sadly it does. After the 2012 protests against it and UN pressure it was deemed illegal, however according to the article it's only ink on paper and it's still happening frequently.
I was looking for an article that was more recent and this was the first one I found. Apparently they now do "virginity" tests on women too to see if you're a "whore" or not.
Uh oh. I know where I won't be flying. Ever.
*tee hee* kiddingggggggg....
