Do you think the morals and values of the average American are better today than they were 50 years ago?

Young people have no respect for their elders or authority. They have no social skill and curse a lot. Parents basically don't give a crap because they want stuff too.

I think instead of finding our better selves we've decided to lower our expectations and give people a pass on their behavior/education.

The average American today see's nothing wrong with the SIN of homosexuality. The same SIN God has deemed an Abomination. It's a clear sign that our national morality has become skewed as we continue to turn our collective backs on God.

the average American is tired of seeing people marginalized for who/what they are.

Homosexuality is not who you are, it's what you do.

let's look at some New testament sins:

speaking ill of those who are not present
bitterness
boasting
dishonesty
divorce
highmindedness
judging
slander

I'm just saying, let he who is without sin cast the first stone.

I am very much aware of the SINS within my own life and ask the Lord everyday for His help in removing it from my life. The problem with the homosexual is the world (you) tells him he has no SIN and needs no forgiveness. Instead, they hold PARADES.

Glock that sounds very much like hating the sinner to me.

I say yes. People may have been more formal or polite back then and many more things were considered taboo. Internet and communication has increased our understanding of each other. Same things were happening then adultery, illegitimate kids, theft

...just not at the scale it does now. That may be more do to technology (the application of knowledge, not just computers definition) and not the degradation of morals.

I think that our morals are certainly not any better, and in some regards, they are worse, but at the same time, fifty years ago, morals and values, rights and such, they've changed.

I think some areas of our morality have improved while others have faltered.
