After this past year and this year. Absolutely! Children are dying at a place where the parent(s) ( and/or guardian) and the children should feel safe. If that means bring in the swat time. So be it! (Swat was a little dramatic but, you get it).

If they do, I hope they realize they don't have to make them look guards. The guards can be armed and dress in casual civilian clothes. It wouldn't feel so militarized.

Know what their kid is up to. They should know to lock their guns and ammo away. They should also know when the child is having mental issues. If parents took a little more time to check on their kids and use basic gun safety, we probably wouldn't be

Give the teachers guns! You can put in little safes on the desk where the gun is located. That way the teacher can not get bum rushed by kids for the gun or something like that. Then if the teacher gets mad they can't use it. Then if the need arises

Doopy Remedial Americanism

Conservative logic kept this nation's schools practically shooting-free for about 200 years until leftist gun restrictions turned them into shooting galleries.

In places where its legal to carry a weapon statistics show that crime rate did not go up

qweertyuiop
10/29/14 7:54 pm

The US is the only developed country where school shootings are a problem. Just think about why that might be for a minute, do some research if necessary.

Doopy Remedial Americanism
10/29/14 9:36 pm

My research indicates that the US leads the world in fatherlessness, which is a major if not overwhelming factor in violent crimes and suicides, especially amongst young men, who account for the majority of school and mass shootings.

Doopy Remedial Americanism
10/29/14 9:38 pm

My research further indicates no correlation between ubiquity of guns and violent attacks like this, and more importantly, no inverse correlation between gun control and school shootings.

You have a very odd definition of "research".

10/30/14 11:44 am

In the 18 years before the 1996 laws, there were 13 gun massacres resulting in 102 deaths, according to Harvard researchers, with none in that category since." I wouldn't have an agenda if data didn't support the need for it.

Doopy Remedial Americanism

Similar statistics exist for the UK, but on closer inspection, it becomes apparent that gun control was not responsible, and crime rates only fell after police staffing was increased by whole number factors.

Doopy Remedial Americanism

Police are trained to break the fingers of anyone who tried to grab there gun. Also they can not allow people to shake their hand or come close for safety precautions. Do you really want teachers to have to be put in that same situation?

The armed presence means immediate threat of armed response. You won't be able to shoot unopposed, than put the gun to your head for a clean, quick death. Your fear of pain will make you less as a threat. Arm the teachers as well.
