Is it hypocritical of liberals to get all up in arms about voter IDs yet support the extortionate fees and requirements that are placed on the second amendment?

Wait, are you comparing voter iD, (which can prevent fraud from both parties. Hell, they're letting people vote early and by mail. Easy pickins for it.) to guns (licensing, I don't know anything about that, but charging someone up the ass for a gun

isn't going to keep them out of the hands of the ones who can't handle them

This is a democracy, not a gun-nutocracy.

It's not hypocritical because voting is essential in a democracy and owning a gun isn't. You also can't kill someone with a vote.

So if they aren't liberals and believe one of the other then they are not hypocrites?....

If anything, a government requirement for IDs when voting is more legitimate than a government requirement to purchase a product.

... Because people with the money to buy things deserve more rights than those without money to buy things?

Because voting is an act in participation with said government. Purchasing a product is not.

No. I mean, I suppose if there were suddenly a spate of attacks using ballots as weapons...??

But both are a constitutional right. One is priced very high and one can't have a price at all.

Elections are necessary to a functioning democratic government. Individual gun ownership isn't. That's why elections are publicly funded.

Both is wrong, I just don't see any connection. Apples and Oranges are at least both fruit, but those two issues seem totally unrelated.
