In your high school years did/do you take a shop class. (Wood shop, auto shop, metal shop, welding, etc.)
I didn't take it in high school unfortunately but did take three years of CAD.
Does ceramics count? We had a great ceramics shop complete with a kiln.
Yes, wood shop, but not metal shop or welding. Today I do a lot of metal work, and TIG, MIG, and gas weld. I wish I had started as a teen, by taking the classes in school. Such handy skills.
We had an interesting split of classes that were required for both males & females alike. They were wood working, cooking, drafting, and sewing. I liked the wood working, but drafting was my favorite. Didn't like sewing or cooking at all. Go figure.
I took wood shop and print shop in junior high.
Wood shop, it was fun!
Woodshop. Only class I ever got a D in. I suck at working with my hands. Also, I made a bunch of bokken and morning stars instead of what was assigned, so that was a thing.
3 years of welding. It's not what I'm going to college for, but I got pretty good at it.
I took shop class every year i was in school because i was homeschooled and my dad had a cabinet shop
I took wood shop for a year. The teacher was always thrilled to have me or one of my brothers in his class. Our dad is a lumber broker and always gave him a discount.
Well I'm taking a Digital electronics class that includes soldering... Does that count?
No not in high school. I took it in middle school, 7th and 8th grades.
I took wood shop in middle school believe it or not but I learned nothing in it because my dad is a general contractor so I've been doing much bigger this then making a oven rack holder since I was way younger. I learned about cars with my friend l8r
No. It wasn't an option for girls when I was in high school. Or at least no one thought it was, until one girl in my class opted for it instead of home economics. I was pretty annoyed I hadn't thought beyond the traditional stuff myself.
Nope. All of my electives were music-related.
No, I went to school in Germany. They have a three tier system, I took the gymnasium which is for nerds. We don't do shop classes ;)
