Feed them, just not through a "gubmint" program.

Food comes at the cost of taking steps to become independent.

I find it hard for the wealthiest country in the history of the world to allow any of its members to go hungry or even die of hunger. Period.

Yes. How can we call America the best country in the world if we refuse to feed the hungry/homeless?

This question is extremely broad. If you're asking if the government should force people to pay for feeding the homeless, my answer is no. If you're asking if people should run food drives, volunteer at soup kitchen & the like, then yes.

getting by. It's a spartan life, but a spartan life of ease, so it makes sense. I don't get people milking the soup kitchens while living out of cardboard boxes or on park benches. That's not a desirable life for anyone, I don't care who you are.

Not only that, but many of them have mental health issues including PTSD. It's not as if many of those people are going to go out & get a job. It seems cruel & heartless to ban giving them any food. What do they think will become of them?

Every large city in America has Christian/Church based programs to feed and house the homeless. Can't say the same for atheist organizations
