I have carried ID every day for the last 62 years since I was 16 years old. What is the problem with proper ID?

I can't wait to read all the logic behind these Democrats who said yes.

And there was little substance to back up their claim : (

I've always said with the influx of immigrants that are here illegally we owe it to ourselves to protect the integrity of all elections. Think about the election Al Franken won with less then 500 votes. It's not a stretch to think elections can be

What? They don't get deported. With fake papers anyone can vote, look at organizations like the old ACORN, they bus in whoever they can get.

I like the concept. But yet, when it look at voter-id laws they appear to be constructed to exclude groups of people. I would like to see a middle ground.

Why do liberals always pull the race card, even when situations don't call for it. I think it very innapropriate. And this is coming from a Latino-Asian American.

To suggest that minorities are in some manner lacking in some way to get an ID is racist.

My thoughts exactly! I just didn't know how to put it into words.

No more than ID laws relating to driving, using credit cards, etc.

They are. Maybe not totally meant 2b, but the effect is racist. Felt the same way in Texas, where voter id laws are all the rage, but the reasoning somewhat make legal sense. Voting in CA proved to me the need for voter id is bs.

How is having an ID racist? I still can't grasp this concept. It costs money, fine. Save up a dollar a paycheck and you can afford it after 2 years max. There you go, problem solved.

I buy crap that I don't need all the time. If you can afford to buy your kids a video game or support whatever habit you might have (mine is Pop) then you can afford to buy an ID. And if you are homeless, I'm sure you would be eligible for a free ID.
