Do you ever enjoy going to the movie theater alone?

I have never gone alone, but I think I will enjoy it when I do.

I like syfy, horror, and action movies whereas my significant other does not. It's ok with her if I go to an occasional matinee alone so she doesn't have to suffer through something only I want to see. I'll sit through "chick flicks" for her sake.

I love going to the movies alone!
I usually go to the first showing of the day, around 11:00am and have the whole place to myself! And the tickets are cheap that time of day!

I've never done it, but was thinking about doing that last Friday. My childhood mall was demolished and rebuilt, and just reopened with theatres that have leather reclining seats! Before I met my SO, I used to go out to dinner alone all the time.

I've never done it, but that sounds like it would be kind of sad.

Than go see a happy movie like Over the Hedge or Pineapple Express. Then, you'll be happy.

That's fine and all for watching a movie at home, but going to the theatre has always been a social experience for me.

Depends on how much I want to see the movie.

Enjoy might be the wrong word but I'm perfectly fine with doing it all the time considering my family isn't usually interested in the same films as me

I've done it a few times. Mainly when I had a few hours to kill when meeting or waiting for someone.

I do it all the time. It's not like you talk during the film.

Plus, it's easier to movie hop if I want to.

Movie hop? Is that when you sneak into another theater to see another movie?

I'd like to see a movie with you and hang out. We'd have fun.

Yeah, fredd.

I think that'd be freaking awesome, dark! Make your way out to New York, or eventually when I'm in Illinois.

I feel weird watching movies by myself in my house. I can't imagine going to a movie theater alone.

I used to love it, going to the midnight show on the way home after an evening shift. Sometimes I'd be the only one there. Pretty sweet!

I would have fallen asleep after the evening shift!

Mostly I'd be pretty wound up by the end of a busy shift. But I'm sure I dozed off during some of them.

Same here, Zod. It's a different world that time of night.

Yeah, sometimes I'd drive way out of the way through the city, just to enjoy having the roads to myself and all the lights reflecting off the hood of the car. It's definitely a different world between closing time and morning rush hour.

Agreed. Absolutely made me appreciate life more. Not sure the correlation, but it is what it is.

I can't remember if I've ever done that in the past (I don't think so, though), but I don't even enjoy going with anyone else either, now. I avoid it.

I have done it once or twice. Not my favorite thing to do, but not bad either.

I did this once...I didn't like it. I was also the ONLY person in the theater.
