Does it hurt the anti vaccination crowd cause when they post outdated, unfounded, information disguised as scientific and scholarly studies?

I would say that hurts any cause.

I'm doing a research paper on the anti vaccine movement. Its for my history of pseudoscience class

Sounds like that'd be a cool class to take! One could certainly pick from a wide range of topics! :)

I did a paper about flu vaccines for my comp II class. It was eye-opening.

Well, under the circumstances you describe, I reckon ANYones cause would be a bit neutered... :)

I'd say deception harms anyone who tried it in the long term. It does seem to work in the short term for the Global Warming lobby, though.

Yes, but they don't need any studies or science for their position. If a woman can kill her unborn baby in order to avoid the embarrassment of having a "baby bump" at the school's prom then people can refuse to get a vaccine.

It's their body and nobody's business why they don't want a vaccine. Same goes for their children too. They're not your children and whether they're getting a vaccine or not is nobody's business. A mere opinion or whimsical decision is all that's

Needed to stop a vaccination in its tracks.

Yeah it's their kid, but when that kid gets measles or mumps and spreads it to another kid who has a weak immune system and wasn't able to receive the vaccine and then dies, that's not ok.

It's not good, but just because you live around someone doesn't mean you get to control their body.

Of course it does. It hurts absolutely anyone to post idiocy.

I would like to say yes, but realistically the people who are likely reading that material probably don't notice or care.

Monsanto owns 90% of the world's soybeans. If she's pumping her kid full of soy because "Monsanto is evil," she's even dumber than you think.

Sorry, soybean *seeds*. They don't own the beans, but they provide the seeds for the people who do. Same end result.
