Ugg, spacers hurt. I just got spacers put on my teeth yesterday, and it hurts a lot. They are purple, and blue. If you had braces, did you get spacers before braces? And if you did not have braces, would you rather have spacers or none?
Replacing the wire hurts worse.. Spacers weren't that bad IMO (got them three times). Annoying more than anything. Good news is the beginning parts are the worst..
Spacers didn't hurt me at all. The only pain I experience is for a couple days after I get my braces tightened. I have to take Advil and it really hurts to eat anything other than applesauce.
When you get your braces, do exactly what they tell you too and you'll get done on time or sooner. The people that bitch about having them for 4 years are the ones that don't wear the bands like their suppose to
I had mine on for 1.5 yrs (top) off for 1.5yrs and then back on for three (both). But they knew it was going to happen that way so I expected it. I had the sleeping head gear, that sucked!
