Democrat candidates have run away from President Obama's agenda and many have refused to even answer whether or not they voted for him. I know this is hard but try to put your non partisan, political analyst hat on. Was this a good strategy?

in a way it's a good idea. a candidate is trying to get elected, and should pay attention to his own campaign no matter what his party. the president would be a distraction. he has his own job to do. right?

I'm not a campaign analyst, but considering Obama's current unpopularity, I'd guess distancing themselves from him makes the most sense politically.

Very dumb move, IMHO. You want to energize your base, and their base voted for him, and often still support him. It would have been better to own up and say you were disappointed in how much he was able to get done.

I guess it depends: if you think he has good policies that helped lots of people it would be a dumb move.
