If there was a town called "Corpus Christi" should it be forced to change its name?
The is a city in France named "La Mort aux Juifs" which literally means Death to the Jews. I think we should start with this one.
Why? Is someone that doesn't live there offended? Too bad. Suck it up punks!
Don't like it, don't move there. That simple. That's not even the worst name out there.. Lol
Are the politically correct lunatics going after cities now?
Why? What am I missing?
Why. If you've ever been there in summer, you know it's kind of like the Iceland/Greenland thing. Corpus is where Satan goes on those days when Hell just isn't quite hot enough.
That's ridiculous. Don't mess with Texas!
I live very close to there!
There is a city by that name in Texas.
Why? If you don't live there, who cares what we name it? Why do we keep getting involved in other people's business?
Because liberals need someone to blame for something.
Only in Saudi Arabia but not here! Or maybe Canada too!
8th larger city in Texas.
Indeed. That's where I got the idea for this series.
Don't even know what it means. Christ corpse maybe?
The body of Christ.
Is this another pro-redskin question?
My parents and brother live near Corpus.
I've been there. Lived near Corpus for half a year. Blue Texas.
Wait, seriously, is this a thing? Is there really a complaint about this? •_•
There is a rather significant city by that name south of Houston. DerekA would know if there's ever been a move to change it, but it won't happen. CCers are proud to be unique, I think.
No, there is one in Texas, and there are other towns with religious meanings like Providence. If you don't like the name of a town, nobody forces you to live there. Besides, I doubt people who DO live in Corpus Christi debate it a lot or would...
...change it. It would cause protests and enough dissatisfaction to put it on ballot. That's exactly what they did in East Germany after reunification. "Karl-Marx-Stadt" is now Chemnitz again.
It should definitely NOT be forced to change its name. Only those who live there should have a say.
