I just saw "Driving Miss Daisy" for the first time. What a wonderful movie. Morgan Freeman is my favorite actor. Who is your favorite actor/actress?
He's an actor. Who cares about his politics? He's not running for office. Sometimes, I hate that we know so much about actor's private lives. I just want to enjoy the performances. He is always great on screen! Also like Cumberbatch and Chris Evans.
Gary Cole and Paul Rudd.
I've always had a thing for Rob Lowe. The new Dish commercials he's in are amazingly funny.
Oops… make that Direct TV.
That was a great movie. I love Morgan Freeman in Shawshank Redemption too & highly recommend it if you haven't seen it.
On to favorite actor & actress -- maybe Tom Hanks & Julia Roberts. I've seen and really enjoyed almost all of their movies.
Kevin Costner has always been a favorite of mine.
I'll concur, but add Kevin Spacey, Kevin Kline, Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro, Robert Downey Jr., James Spader, James Earl Jones, Malcolm MacDowell, and so many more. And then there are the actresses! But be watching for Tom Laney III in a few years!
I can't believe you never saw that movie! The part that always gets me is at the end when he feeds her the pie!!
Yukon have you ever seen the original The Bishop's Wife (Christmas movie)? That is my favorite xmas movie and Cary Grant is one of
Cary Grant is definitely one of my favorites. *swoon*
I love that movie! It's a Christmas must!
But his private life was questionable. They really were actors. I liked Bette Davis too but I think she was a bitch irl too. I loved her in All About Eve. She was a hoot.
Right Nag. I never miss it.
There were some rumors about his personal life which he flatly denied and other than having a roommate for a while, all evidence points to the contrary. People will always start rumors about the great ones.
Have either of you ever seen The Ghost and Mrs Muir? Rex Harrison plays a ghost who charmingly haunts a lovely woman played by Gene Tierney. I love that one. :)
Yes I saw ghost. I did not like Wuthering Heights. That was horrible. Hated it. I never liked Vivian Leigh.
Alynn, that is a great movie! I love that one, too. :)
There was an all-black remake of The Bishop's wife a few years ago, and it was excellent too!
That was The Preacher's Wife with Denzel Washington, if I recall.
I never saw that one.
That's a great movie, Yuke! And though not my favorite (If I have one, it's probably a cartoon character!), he's a great actor, such a natural...
Dude! I can't believe that you hadn't seen Driving Miss Daisy before. That's a great movie! I couldn't say that I have a favorite actor anymore. I just don't care that much about Hollywood. We don't go to a lot of movies.
I was walking down Main Street a couple of weeks ago and practically walked right into MF.
Did you tell him that he's an idiot?
I thought those initials meant something else lol
Same difference! :)
I absolutely have no respect for Freeman. Freeman says the tea party is the “weak, dark underside of America” and will do whatever to “get this black man (Obama) outta here!”
Yeah, I don't like his politics, but he's an outstanding actor.
Besides, you have to give freeman some leeway for having been raised in that sorta thinking. Soooo many blacks have yet to find their way off the Democrat plantation. Eventually they'll learn about and value individual liberty.
Sorry, Yukon! I don't support affirmative action. Blacks don't get a pass. :)
I don't like him cause he is a fruit cake
I'm not asking you to eat him.
