My cat had to be put down this weekend. I am away at school and my mom didn't tell me until afterwords. Would you prefer to find out before or after the fact?
G, I'm so sorry. I've had to stand next to the exam table at the Vet's three times and hold my beloved dogs as the injections put them to a peaceful sleep. As hard as that was, I wouldn't want to not have been there for them. Praying for comfort 4U.
I would always like to know before so I'm given the chance, if possible, to say goodbye.
Also, sorry for your loss, and sorry that you found out in that way.
So sorry for your loss.
Our condolences. It is never easy to lose a furry member of the family.
I'm sorry. It's hard letting a fur baby go over the rainbow bridge!!
I'd want to know before and if circumstance allow for me to be present when it happens, I would want to be there.
However if my pet was in such pain where it would be inhumane to keep them alive even for a few hours, I would be ok having a family member stand in my place. Meds exist for pain, but such a pain exists that can't be touched by meds.
I am ok with the fact that I knew after. I have known she was very sick for a while, and I know this was what is better for her. I would have been to selfish. It hurts all the same though :/
Before, even if it is obvious there is nothing I could do about it. I'm really sorry about your cat, that's always a hard thing.
I'm a cat lover and I'm so sorry. I'd rather know before.
After. It would be less painful for me.
Before. If the cat was part of your family, you should have the right to know beforehand, and you should even have the right to be part of the decision.
I'm so sorry. :'(
I'd b rather know ahead of time.
