If a candidate for state representative campaigned door-to-door and held personal discussions with voters, would you be more inclined to vote for them?

I took the question to pretty much mean during primaries. In this case, the candidates would like be fairly similar, so the issues themselves would be moot.

All of that being equal, there's s stronger likelihood that I'd vote for the person

...making the effort, unless they turned out to be a complete ass. But, a genuinely positive encounter with a candidate with similar political ideals would be a string sell.

Nope. Voting records and previous actions speak louder than any pandering.
