Worst enemy? Probably not. Although there's no question that in most states it is politically damaging to associate with the president.

He's about as popular as bush was in his 6th year

I'm doing good. I wrote a rant to my local news station about Mitch McConnell that was aired on the 6:00 news. You would've been proud of me.

Good point, Abo, but totally irrelevant haha ... Obviously Bush was a liability in the '06 midterms. Tons of New England Republicans lost their seats.

How is it irreverent? I was illustrating how what's going on is common for 6 year presidents

Good for you Ab. I am not a fan of him either

The best thing he can do for them now is shut up. We would all be better off actually.

he won't shut up for 2 reasons.

everyone who isn't a delusional liberal thinks he is a nut.

it's his "last" term, so he doesn't have to give a fuck

No. Their worst enemy is when their own base becomes complacent with the level of freebies that they're getting from the government.

Kentuckians will vote republican and they get more freebies than almost any state. So who's base gets more complacent with freebies?

Democrat of course. It's the Kentucky democrats that are the cause.

Remember that it's those evil republicans that are always wanting to shut down the gov and starve all the kids, at least that's what the dems always claim.

Abo, you have a Democratic governor, a Democratic legislature and quite possibly a Democratic Senator soon ... It's not like KY is this ultra-conservative state like Utah, especially fiscally. It's very CULTURALLY conservative.

While having a democrat governor and house might seem like something to point at, Ky democrats are California conservatives. We had republicans in the US senate since I can remember and have only one democrat congressmen. It's a conservative state

Say what you will, your governor has been one of the most aggressive in implementing Obamacare in the country. Just going off of your borders, Tennessee and Indiana are much more fiscally conservative states.

Because our health is the worst in the country and he always refers to it as KYnect, not obamacare. He has criticized Obama more than praises him. If you think Steve beshear is a liberal democrat, you really don't know our governor.

And we aren't fiscally conservative as Tennessee or Indiana because like I said, it's still a strong union state.

That's fair, I'm just saying: you can't call a state a solid red state or solid blue state purely on social issues or on how they vote for POTUS. States like WV, KY and AR aren't fiscally conservative. They're culturally conservative and...

... socially conservative and fiscally moderate to liberal. As we all know, politics ain't simple.

If Maryland goes republican Id say yes. Did you see what happened to Obama during a campaign speech here for Democrat Anthony Brown?

Lack of turnout will be their biggest problem most likely.

No, but voters who hate Obama and associate them with him might be.

Obama keeps giving the GOP gifts. The GOP will probably return the gift though.

Hahaha you could argue it's the media giving those "gifts." But again, a gift only has value if the people concerned think it does.

Now, Obama is saying that all democrats support his policies even if they are distancing themselves from him.

Thank you Obama! It would be really sad if Republicans can't pull this election out, especially with your help:

If I was an owner for a NFL team, I wouldn't want the coach to be a republican campaign manager.
