Neither. Rape doesn't offend me either because I know that it's just a movie. Its not really happening.

Sex & violence together is disturbing.

Sex. Watching sex in movies makes kids horny and that brings on a whole other set of problems.

Why is sex even close to offensive? It is one of the most beautiful, fun, and amazing things capable of the Human body alone. Its not offensive, its a masterpiece of the human experience.

Think about it. Even with all the technological advances in the last 10,000 years, nothing we have built nor made has had the same impact or motivational power as the basic biological function we evolved thousands of years ago.

I don't think they mean like sex, they mean rape. Either way, I find neither offensive.

I ask this because I know parents who won't permit a teen to watch a movie with a (mild) sex scene, but bloody, gory, even excessive violence is fine. Just seemed really backwards to me.

I'm not offended by either but when pressed I pick violence.

I don't find either offensive if it is an integral part of a good plot. I find gratuitous violence - violence just for the shock value - offensive. I don't find gratuitous sex offensive, but I don't really enjoy it either, because there's nothing

inherently offensive about sex. Violence *is* inherently offensive (at least to an even minimally compassionate person), but it can still be part of a good plot, like some other offensive things.

Only violence. Consensual adult sex isn't something I can imagine ever being offended by. Neither is language, so long as the "naughty" words are used correctly.

Neither as much as the filthy language that seems to be the norm in our decaying society.

I don't find either offensive, but certainly not sex.

The answer should be violence.

It should be. However most parents I know prefer that their teens see excessive violence in a film before a mild sex scene.

Especially one that lasts like five minutes and shows full blown nudity. I watched the new Friday the 13th when I was like 8 and it was awesome!
