So it's been a couple of months. Anyone heard how much we've been able to get the wait times down to at VA Hospitals? How about the number still on a waiting list?
Medical facilities for enlisted in certain areas also needs help. A friend had to wait 6 weeks to get her sons 6 month infant check up.. She made it 3 weeks before the 6mo mark.
I haven't seen anything in local news coverage since mid-August. Maybe I'll tweet the newspaper's editor & ask if they'd like to do an update... If I'm not mistaken, CO/WY took a lot of heat about it, & a regional supervisor was one of 2 people who
were going to be fired. I don't know if he has been.
Oh, actually, the mid-August article I read quoted the Deputy Sect'y of Veteran Affairs as saying the wait time situation could be fixed in 2 years... That sounds pathetic, but it included resolving personnel investigations too.
Probably like 2 minutes or something.
I haven't heard a thing about it in while.
No, and it's about time we got a progress report!
Thanks for reminding us.
I like how you make us remember by bringing stuff like this up once in a while. How easy it is to forget!
Customers die and then the waiting list gets shorter.
Had a VA sleep study. Waited a few weeks expecting an appt for a cpap. They had me do another sleep study. Waited again for an appt. Got the call a couple weeks ago. My appt is Nov 28.
Don't know if that's an improvement of wait time or not.
The total time for this is from July to Nov.
The private sector can do this in about 6 weeks or less.
Oh, almost forgot.
Got put on the list for a shingles shot in May. I'm still waiting.
Data manipulation and 10 billion in emergency funds so Veterans can get private care.
I think he is looking for something from late September or October. Not July.
Two months to find private care, for thousands of Veterans, sounds pretty darn good, doesn't it?
I wasn't criticizing the article itself. Just the date of the article.
Shazam was looking for something recent, not something almost 3 months old.
It takes some time to get all of those people to a private doctor. Three months is pretty good.
And some VA workers, that lied to keep the wait times down, could still be working. I haven't seen a massive firing, have you?
Do you have an article dated between September 21, 2014 to today? Again, your source is from July.
Feel free to rant all you want about the VA if it will make you feel better.
I take that as a no.
Post a recent link about the VA scandal first. I gave you a time frame that matches Shazam's intent.
Still a no, huh?
