IQ measures only one type of intelligence.
Recent research has shown that IQ can be increased at any point in one's life including the extra 10 years that one would gain if this scenario were possible.

@15ewoodward,
I was just diagnosed with AS less then a month ago, so I feel your pain (no pun intended). In my near constant research since then, I came across many recommendations by fellow AS sufferers for a low starch diet- have you tried it?

Your IQ is something in your genetics, You can't improve it as well as you can with your health. This question poses something more like "are you lazy." I mean all you have to do is regulate your diet and work out often. Besides those who have genetic diseases in their family.

YES. Disease sucks. M-maybe I could gain my IQ back too?
But really once you see people suffering and dying from disease, you don't want to put anyone else through that. Everyone suffers when someone they love is sick.

They say that if you dont have your health you dont have anything. Besides, if you die because of poor health at 65, your IQ won't do you or anyone else any good for the other 25 years.

There are an awful lot of geniuses using this app! I think I'd probably be a happier person if I had a lower IQ. I think I'd take it if I were guaranteed perfect health for the next sixty years of my life.

Losing a portion of my brain's ability would seem, to me, to defeat being in perfect health. I consider mental health important as well.

For you people who said that you wouldnt give up 10%. It is probably because you guys are already under the IQ score of 100. And Yes, I did just call you all stupid.

I have a higher IQ than Einstein, and yet I don't understand relativity as well as Einstein. E=MC^2 is actually fairly simple but the implications of it are not. Therefore, it is not the IQ which defines a person, but what percent of it they utilize, along with many other attributes like creativity.

Ya mine was tested five years ago so, Rons, I do know what my IQ is; Egg and I are certified geniuses, 10% taken off or not.

Well obviously those points count for nothing since you read the question wrong; its 10%, not 10 points. Naw, jk. I didn't mean that. But, seriously, you read the Q wrong.

IQ isn't all it's cracked up to be, but I was tested six years ago. I'd be interested to see how it's changed. A 10% sacrifice would leave me at 154. I think I'd take that trade.

I'm not sure. I am more intelligent than most, but that would mean 10% of that intelligence gone would be a more noticeable difference.

125+ is considered to be in the 97th percentile. 145+ is in the 99th percentile and 165+ is in the 99.87th percentile. 68 % of people score between 85 and 115.
