Do you pay any annual membership fee to a shopping club, e.g. Sam's Club, Costco, Amazon Prime, etc.?

I have a Sam's Club membership. It's just hubby & me, so we usually just get non-perishable stuff - laundry soap, trash bags, toilet paper, pens, electronics, etc.

I save my membership fees in savings at the gas pump at Costco plus some. Then with the groceries, etc... It's a big savings.

You've reminded me that I intended to join the food coop in my town. (I haven't been here a long time; just haven't gotten around to it.) I was a member & board member of one of the early ("modern") food coops in the US. Besides good shopping, it was a valuable experience.

It's a huge money saver. Buying in bulk saves tons of money. Plus, the membership I have at Costco gives you a percentage of what you spend back at the end of the year. The amount I get back pays for my membership fee.

I pay a membership fee to be an owner of a grocery cooperative. I avoid shopping for the sake of sales/deals/bargain. You end up buying stuff you don't actually need.

Most people recoup the membership money in savings. I know I do at Costco.

Why should I pay money just so I can shop? That's just plain stupid! ????

I had a Sam's membership when I owned my business. If a Costco was closer I would join that, but I don't shop at Wal Mart any more and that includes Sam's.

Harbor Freight membership for discounts offered. Didn't use Sam's enough to renew and Costco not in area.

Does Netflix count as a shopping club? Because then I'd have to change my answer...

Tons of free ones, but I don't buy enough for prime accounts. And I just shop at a local grocery store. No nearby Costcos or Sam's or anything. I don't even know if there are any Costcos in NJ...

Costco biz membership. Well make up the cost with overall savings on products and 2% cash back. Actually pays me back for the amount I buy every year.

Never understood till we had kids. My dad used to pay for the membership. Now we have our own. It more than pays for itself and they carry good quality stuff if buy anyway at a better price than anywhere else in town.

Only Costco. The membership fee more than pays for itself.

I meant "where else" as in place you DON'T pay a membership fee (ex. Kroger's, Publix, etc.)

Costco & Amazon Prime
I have a gold star membership with Costco & you get a percentage of you purchases back each year, plus some other special offers. If the money back isn't more than your membership costs, then they refund your membership costs.
Amazon Prime - free two day shipping & lots more!

Costco and Amazon Prime. I love Prime! Costco is da bomb! I have Amex w / Costco, pay my bill every month, and am getting almost $300 cash back next month. Plus gas is cheaper using the card @ Costco.

Kirkland brand is actually pretty good. I get my mum to pick me up some of their stuff when she goes to Costco since there isn't one closer than 2 hours from my house.

Ya know, I've made precious few online purchases, but one could get addicted to that sense o' fun 'n' excitement, at least that I get, comin' home to a box (boxes?!) on my front porch!

Amazon Prime. I've been using it since the beginning. When I ordered a lot of stuff from Amazon because my local shopping opportunities were few, it was exceedingly useful. Now I have better shopping access but don't want to give it up. Besides: streaming movies & TV shows.
