Did you spend more or less than $300 during the Black Friday shopping weekend?
I stayed home and saved my pepper spray & my batteries in my Taser.
Black Friday is too meganuts for me.
A day invented by corporations.
I spent about $45 around Black Friday. Of course, that was online, because unless I'm buying something useful, there's not much sense in braving the stores over $45 of stuff.
Boycott Black Friday!
Less, I didn't go! :)
I bought a snowmobile Thanksgiving day. Does that count?
$1300. Christmas is done.
$80 on adobe photoshop and premiere elements
I spent about $400.
I spent exactly $0 ; )
Happy: Way to go! Good to see there are still successful people in our country! Keep stimulating the economy!
Nope I didn't because its not worth going out and dealing with all the idiots on Black Friday the sales aren't that great and I'm not hurting 2 bad so I'll just pay regular or wait 4 a different sale because again not worth it
I spent 150 on BF but spent another 200 on non-BF gifts. I have a TV and a computer, so not much for me to buy. I did pick up a 120gb SSD, but not that great of a sale.
@bambeii I would be honored to receive a handmade gift!
I didn't spend anything over the weekend, but my wife spent $5k on an outfit for herself.
Didn't leave the house on black Friday. Unless they were almost gonna give me an ipad then I wasn't leaving. Plus I hate crowds. I'll shop at 2am and pay full price just to avoid all the people.
I usually spend between $500-$1000 on Black Friday. This year $650ish. I get about 80% of my holiday shopping done that day. This is also the first year I have ever experienced someone being hateful. The whole atmosphere seemed more desperate & tense this year than the last 7 years I've gone.
Jhello, it was just a joke. I'm all for downplaying the commercialism of christmas. Its not what it is about. It's turned into a crazy rush of people being violent towards another. Sometimes I wish I was born 50 years earlier.
I shopped and broke my wallett from home. as not to get mugged by soccer moms at the store. spooky moms
More, and zero of it was spent on gifts... I think I have a problem
My Christmas shopping was finished before Black Friday
We bought an iPad for my mother in law. nobody else is getting anything great this year because we blew the budget there!
I didn't spend any money.
I bought a new camera for more than $300.
How about ZERO
I spent $80 on 4 video games normally priced each around $60
I spent about $100
I actually got paid on Black Friday, so you could say I spent a negative amount of money.
I scored. I got some a pair if corduroys and chinos for 40 bucks and a pair of Clark's for 50.
For the person that insulted Bambei: Christmas should not about spending a lot if money and getting cool stuff. Chances are that if s/he has people s/he cares about, people care about them too and they would love to spend Christmas with him/her. I'd rather have friends than a wii. Just saying.
I was working in retail most of the day on Black Friday, not as busy as I thought it would be.
I went to Best Buy, got a netbook and a laptop. Wow. First time doing that, maybe my last. Haha
I didn't buy anything. Didn't leave my house or turn on my computer.
I didn't even go shopping on friday
Lol when I worked at Target on Black Friday it was peaceful, one of the only places
All online by the way. I worked at target one year on black Friday and I'm never stepping foot in a store on black Friday again. I never though id see soccer moms in an all out brawl
Bambei, not to be rude but your the kinda friend/family that nobody wants to see on Christmas. Haha I spent 200 on a wii bundle and probably another 100 or so on miscellaneous stuff.
Getting up at midnight isn't worth saving $15 on tickle me elmo
Oh and I didn't have to go near a store for any of it. All online, free shipping! Yee haw!
Bought big ticket items I've been eyeing for a LONG time (3D LED TV & 3D Bluray!) I also bought a boatload of very discounted yarn and cake/cookie decorating supplies to make some homemade gifts. All in all, I think I saved about $1K/27%!
I spent nothing. Instead of spending money on people that I don't have I'm making them gifts. Something from the heart. <3
I spent about 200 and got almost all the people in my list done except 4 my dad who I never know what to buy 4
@BRAZZERS: 16% of the US population spending $300 or more in one day is quite a bit. In order to really make the case for this answer being off you would need stats for pervious years.
@raccoonan: Here in America you can pitch a tent on the property of anyone who gives you permission to do so.
About $75 for lumber to fix my parents house. They are remodeling their kitchen.
Also, Brazzers: I find it hard to see your comments as credible when your screen name is the same as a major porn site.
Black Friday - because in America, you can pitch a tent for capitalism, but not for democracy.
i' m so glad we don't celebrate Christmas with gifts!!
I think it keeps us in the true holiday spirit. It's not about gifts, it's about being with family
