Iraqi troops, Peshmerga soldiers, & the Free Syrian Army: 400,000 - 580,000 fighters. ISIS: 15,000 - 31,000 fighters. Considering these numbers, does it seem to you like the locals should be able to take care of this problem w/o outside help?
