I brush my teeth within the first 5 minutes of getting out of bed and again after I shower.

Uh - both. How can you eat with morning breath? Yuck.

It would be nice if coffee or any other stinky smelling food people brush their teeth after consummation.

I can't wait to brush my teeth in the morning. Hate morning mouth.

Neither; I usually skip breakfast.

I can't eat unless I brush before

After except when I'm running late so I don't have to go back upstairs after I eat

08/14/12 5:18 pm

Well, I don't eat breakfast, so...

Sadly, before and then when I eat breakfast, it tastes weird

Tip Floss 40% of your tooth surface is between your teeth where a brush doesn't go. Take a whiff of your floss sometime. If it smells rank, so does your breath, and no amount of mouth wash or gum an cover it.

TIP! BRUSH YOUR TONGUE. It holds as much bad breath bacteria as your teeth. No need to use toothpaste.

As soon as I'm out of the shower and when I get to work, and sometimes mid day, after lunch, supper and at bedtime. Ok, I'm a dental hygienist I may be a bit neurotic about the brushing thing

After. I do not want showing off my wooden teeth. 

Sometimes I brush in the morning and skip breakfast. Then either take a brunch or a 2nd dinner right before bedtime. Usually the latter.

Makes no sense to brush your teeth before breakfast. If it's just morning breath you're trying to get rid of, then gargle. And for those of you who brush before & after, you should talk to your dentist. It's not good for your enamel to over-brush.

Lol tsk ... That's all in the mind.

I can't swallow morning breath bacteria or else I'll get a tummy ache. Thats why.

Why would you brush your teeth before eating? That's like wiping your butt before you take a dump.

What is this "tooth brushing"?

Zod Above Pugetropolis

EarlyBird, agreed. Coffee breath seems to be getting even worse than ever, and more common. I'm not sure brushing is enough to scrub it away.

As of now it's after, but when I leave for college in four days, I'm sure it'll change to before.

I think coffee breath is the worst.
If you drink coffee, brush after.

No point in brushing before if you eat right after

After so my breath smells clean. Plus I can't eat when my mouth has that toothpaste taste.

Before because I could not eat with all that overnight muck in my mouth. Then sometimes I brush again after breakfast.

Zod Above Pugetropolis
08/14/12 8:29 am

Before, since I don't always eat breakfast, and if I do it's an hour or two after getting up. If I eat Cheerios for breakfast I brush them again - because Cheerio breath is nasty.

08/14/12 8:08 am

Before, I hate mouthwash because it burns my mouth and it's nasty.

MasterMatt Oregon

Depends on when I shower. I brush in the shower.

Kay41 the Midwest
08/14/12 7:36 am

After. Nothing is worse than the taste of toothpaste mixing with cereal, eggs or toast.

Catman62
08/14/12 5:15 am

After. Why clean your teeth only to get them dirty again? Brushing is meant to rid your mouth of acids (think juice) that causes cavities. If you don't brush after eating, you're defeating the purpose.

After, usually. But if I'm going somewhere for breakfast, then I brush before. :)

08/14/12 4:09 am

Both but I said before because that's the first one.

08/14/12 2:44 am

I brush first thing when I wake up, get ready, then eat. Then I mouth wash after I eat to have fresh breath and get rid of stuff left in my mouth.

After. What's the point in brushing before?
