...but we're adding to it significantly. The question is not that there is climate change, but how fast it is is alarming. Also, we are using up our natural resources at an alarming rate anyway. We should all try to recycle and take care of our Mother Earth. She's supported us; time to give back.

would become as warm as Florida, and we're not set up for that. We have only a dozen days or so above 90 a year, and more than that below freezing. We'd be screwed, and the carbon dioxide would suffocate us. It was that warm 300 million years ago. Things were different then. Much different.

Yes, but if that happens now we're screwed. The Earth has had average temperatures as high as 80 degrees (now between 58 and 60, probably closer to 60 now but more like 58 decades ago). That would mean that Portland, OR, my hometown, which is 55 degrees on average

Actually, there is no doubt the earth is warming but, geologically speaking, our planet is still coming out of the last ice age and can expect to continue warming (in spite of humanity) for at least another 20,000 years or so.

Fortunately it's not actually 53% of the nation. The SOH population doesn't seem to be a cross-section of the US population. If it were, Romney would have won by a landslide. Oh, and I wouldn't say the 53% here are "ignoring the facts"; most of them seem to be denying they are facts at all.

They're not racists either. I don't even know how that could be. Its so illogical that I can't even imagine how one would come up with that analogy.

There is no argument about Evolution, it is 150 years worth of settled science. No one argues it who is entitled to. It is not up for a vote!

No cowboy, but I have found those who reject climate change often reject evolution and the big bang. My brother works at CERN. These scientists are not some evil vast conspiracy to turn the world away from some fictional magical sky daddy that people call god.

People only reject evolution because of their beliefs in myths. It doesn't change reality. They also seem to confuse the word theory for hypothesis and think it renders it irrelevant. Gravity is a theory, but people don't question it. Relativity is a theory and we can prove its effects readily.

So because I don't buy into man-made global warming I'm stupid, I'm for segregation, (Which means racist), and I don't believe in evolution. Very convincing arguments there Liberals.

Climate change deniers are often the same anti-science morons who reject evolution. They hear the word theory, but think of the definition for hypothesis. Idiots.

I am the Lorax. Err on the side of caution. 90% of scientists (forget about the few liars who did fix the numbers) have demonstrated our impact on this planet. They are not trying to scare you into new regulation. They're trying to scare you into keeping this world nice for our future generations

I think you are thinking of long term (100 million years+) climate cycles like in an out of an ice age. This is caused by elliptical orbits (ovals not circles).

A good scientist will tell you that the correct answer is no, but lies can be used to tell the truth. No one can with certainty say exactly how much of an impact we have but it would be foolish to assume we have absolutely no effect whatsoever.

Maybe they'll include the East Anglia E-mails where they admitted to fixing their numbers to have the desired effect? By definition that is a conspiracy.

Earth should be getting colder due to our orbit. Besides the yearly orbit there is another with which is patterned, right now we're at the beginning of an ice age orbit. For you see planetary orbits shift around closer and farther from the sun due to the pull of other celestial bodies.

Global warming is not a belief, (like believing in ghosts), it is a fact. The question is: How do you react to these facts? Do you stick your head in the sand and deny the facts? Or do you change your behavior based on a rational analysis of this information?
