A woman is found to have wrongfully accused someone of rape. The case is dismissed should charges be filed?

Yes. Rape should be taken seriously. So should false accusations of rape.

If we allow charges to be filed against the woman, it would likely discourage real rape victims to press charges just in case he gets exonerated.

The rapist not being prosecuted is already a major deterrent for victims deciding whether or not to press charges or even report it. The way this country handles rape cases is ridiculous :(

And that falls to local law enforcement. The City of Houston alone has unanalyzed rape kits dating back to the 80s!! It's effing absurd!

Same here. They don't send kits for analysis if the victim recantation her claim.
