It is said that during an exchange with journalist Robert Sherman, George HW Bush stated the following: "No, I don't know that atheists should be considered as citizens, nor should they be considered patriots. This is one nation under God." Agree?

Wow for a president he sure doesn't know his us history since the phrase "under god" want added to the pledge until the red scare of the 50s

If he actually said that (which is questionable), Mr. Bush needs to have a little talk with Mr. Jefferson.
