If you haven't played a favorite game (board game, card game) in a long time (6 months+) can you still easily remember the rules? Or do you have to check the instructions, rule book, other players just to be sure?
If it's a favorite I've played a million tomes, I probably remember. If it's a relatively new favorite that I haven't played for a while, I probably need a refresher.
One of my favorite games, Agricola, I have to periodically look up the rules.
I remember most, but not all.
I don't like complicated games and I've never played one exactly as instructed, so yes. I like Pictionary, Scrabble, Scattergories, and Taboo. All pretty straightforward.
Munchkin Fu is pretty easy to remember how to start.
I have a hard time remembering how many cards get passed out or how much money watch player starts out with. Sometimes I like to watch the first round of a card game just to make sure I'm remembering it right.
I can never remember how to disperse the money to start a game of monopoly.
