I'm a bad person because I believe that it is necessary for a person to donate a portion of their wage based on how much they make to pay for programs to help end major problems such as poverty, disease, and hunger, as well as free public education.

We only disagree on charity v taxes. Who spends it better, you or the gov?

True. Those problems will never end no matter how much money Congress throws at it.

Not a bad person at all. You just like to take people's money without their permission. Ha ha, just kidding.

Not that you shouldn't try to mitigate its presence, but the goal is unattainable.

Why are you requiring me to donate to your cause when I can't require you to donate a portion of your income to MY CHURCH. You see, most Christians do donate 10% of their incomes for the exact reasons you named.

That's nice of Christians to do :) but churches probably shouldn't receive tax money due to separation of church and state.

I think what makes Christianity nice is that you give what you can to those in need without expecting anything in return.
