Today (June 8th) was my grandmother's birthday. Our birthdays are exactly 50 years and 6 months apart. Have you ever celebrated a "half-birthday"?

When I was in elementary school, we did. Since I have a summer birthday (Aug. 22), we had my "birthday celebration" on Feb. 22.

I sure have my birthday is 4 July. Zod 's birthday is six months from mine so we celebrate half birthdays and .5 birthdays

It's kind of our little tradition that we celebrate together twice a year. (Or acknowledge if no real celebration.) Her mother was very into birthdays and would have her "birthday week." It kind of carries on a small part of my GG. (Great-Grandmom)

It's tempting to this year because my real birthday fell on my busiest day of work. And my boss was gone so I did double the work. It was my 21st birthday too. But I probably won't do anything. It feels self centered to me.

Wednesdays. I work for a weekly paper and we publish on Thursdays so we have to make sure everything is ready Wednesday. So we usually end up staying pretty late, 9 sometimes 10pm.

Nope, although I think I tried it on as a kid.

I think all kids try to stretch their age as much as possible! "I'm six and three quarters."
