When you are home awake and alone, can you go long periods of time in silence or do you need to have music, radio, tv or some other type noise going?

If I've been around a blabber-jaws, I need noise to tune out all their endless problems that are still swirling around in my mind. If I've been alone and it's been blabber-jaws free, I like the quiet. (Hate working with a blabber-jaws.)

Thinking about silence and tunes that pop into your head.

More quiet is more better.

I am sitting at home and want to press silence.
I then realize I purposefully have a box fan on just to create a little white noise. Especially for when I sleep

I have background noise on so the dogs don't hear ever little noise and bark.

I more often listen to NPR (or IPR) over music... I sing to myself while I work though..

I take silence every minute I can get it.
