Have you ever slept on a feather bed? (If you don't know what a feather bed is, then you haven't slept on one.)

Love it. Stayed in a Sofitel hotel in NYC and liked it so much we bought the bed.

Allergic to feathers! The one time I accidentally slept on a feather pillow was a disaster.

Me too! It would bring me close to death. I can't even use a feather duster if the feathers are real. Plus it is such torture for the birds.

I am now, but it didn't bother me as a kid.

No... I don't think I'm picturing it right though from the other comments. I'm thinking of a slightly softer version of a medieval bed of hay. With quill-like feathers.

I've never even used a feather pillow. Sounds flat?

Very soft, the one I slept on was similar to the hay mattress, because it was homemade. The feathers were mostly down feathers, so they are quite small. She had feather pillows, too. I still have a feather pillow that my grandmother made. Not flat

Now I'm thinking about different kinds of bedding I've never used and how they'd compare with sleep quality. I must be tired.

I LOVED sleeping on the feather bed at Uncle France & Aunt Ethel's house!!! They both passed when I was young, so I am sure I have romanticized it in my mind, but I enjoyed it back then. :)
