Which term do you use? In regards to our current immigration situation. I use the term "Illegal". Doing something without documentation, that requires it, is what? ILLEGAL!
Whatever is not politically correct is what I use
Illegal is the nicest wY to put it
It's no fun...
And when you crash into someone with your car, it's rarely an "accident"
"Illegal" is not politically correct, Tilton.
I'm glad you won't give in to it.
Undocumented was introduced as the PC way to not offend anyone. PC offends me. I say illegal. If its children I'd say children of illegals.
Funny fact. Most undocumented call themselves "Ilegales" or illegals most of the time.
Undocumented! We're all here illegally. The Native Americans didn't invite us here not did we assimilate to their culture.
Ever read how they got here?
I'm most definitely not an illegal.
Weak argument, azs. What happened to Native Americans was wrong, but what is happening here is about a law in a country in the 21st century maintaining safety for its citizens. Documentation was not an issue then, nor were other laws present today.
I use both, but tend to reserve "undocumented" for the ones who came here as kids, had no choice, and have no place to go back to. I have a hard time seeing them the same as the adults willfully breaking the law.
I respect that and an inclined to agree.
Is it illegal to hire undocumented workers? Making U.S. citizens criminals if they hire.
Are undocumented workers committing crimes against the U.S. when they accept money for labor? And who the bleep keeps letting them in? They should be Arrested.
The ones hiring them are the ones letting them in. Go after the greedy criminal US company owners and the illegals will go home.
I agree with both of those comments
They have to get past Homeland Security, guardians of our borders first. Then they can do as they please.
I don't think it matters. To me it is no different from saying you were speeding instead of saying you were driving illegally. We know that speeding and being undocumented are both against the law.
The word "undocumented" is a psychological play on words.
It's meant to minimize the act and decriminalize the act.
The verbiage game is used politically all the time.
I see your point. I just think it is all semantics. Time to deal with the issue and not focus on the terms.
In CA work Documents aka green cards are issued to contractors. Each for 600 hrs. This is unreported pay/earnings.The boss will give the cards out & the workers will pass them on when they finish a job. It's up to the boss & border to check if the
Person with the card is documented. No sorry the boss doesn't have to check as long as the person has a card. It doesn't matter if they are a serial killer as long as the have a card.
either works as they are both accurate
When you rob a bank, they don't say you just forgot to fill out a withdrawal slip.
