Would you support a measure that consolidates all federal funding allocations to local and state projects, into a single annual bill, and also bans unrelated political pork amendments elsewhere?
I'd support rejecting pork amendments unrelated to the basic bill being presented, but don't think all spending should be restricted to a single bill. I would support a requirement that every bill be fully funded or be presumed to be.
Sounds interesting, if it would work. Obviously there will always be pork but if we could keep it from infiltrating other bills that would be an improvement
I am okay with federal spending going to the occasional local project. Sometime a little bit of money makes a big impact, but it should be all put together, once year, so that the process is transparent, and not hidden in other bills.
