If someone rides a motorcycle and crashes should the taxpayer have to pay for his medical bills?

How about if everyone becomes responsible for themselves and quit involving other people?!

No! You have to buy insurance. It a privilege to have one.

No, that's exactly why ACA (Obamacare) is so important!

The aca does nothing for this scenario

Sure it does! Assuming the rider did not have insurance, the taxpayer would foot the bill. Assuming he followed the law, they no linger would. See how that works?

That's not what the ACA does. That already existed.

Sorry - assuming neither rider had motorcycle insurance. Private (ACA) health insurance still pays. Other option is tax payer.

Rebel seems to be having problems with your logic. Yes, ACA is intended to ensure that the hypothetical motorcycle rider has medical coverage. If he/she is not at fault, the insurance of the individual at fault might include some medical as well.

I ride motorcycles. I have my own insurance. Couldn't imagine not, but Murica seems to be developing amnesia about personal responsibility, thinking ahead, and the consequences of actions from the decisions they make.

That's why you get insurance. Lol. Should tax payers pay for healthcare if someone's hurt in a car accident? Where do we draw the line?

No, that's what cash/medical insurance is for.
