Are you comforted when a politician says, "We have reached a bipartisan deal"?

Usually. Of course that could change with the nature of the deal though.

I wouldn't say comforted but its better than "Once again we couldn't even do shit on the most simple task."

Bilaterally screwed is what that means, too often.

No, it usually means this: Rather than spending money on A or B, we'll be funding both A and B.

No. It means the dems got 95 percent of what they wanted and the repubs are thrilled with the 5 percent as if they did something worth celebrating. It's like when the cat drags a fleshy hair clump into the house and expect you to congratulate him.

You guys sound crazy, and it's those kind of radical perspectives that's driven the Republican image into the ground over the last 20 years.

I'm sure you infiltrate our primaries/help push our party's dialogue to the right, so close enough.

Try winning an election sometime too. I won't be voting for Christie, or bush, or Ryan, or Romney, or Paul, or Rubio, or whatever dumb ass retardlican you can name.

Political. Republicans like left-leaning republicans, also called "moderates." Those are the ones that love big government and don't have any social/moral beliefs. They want your vote, but not your opinion.

RINOTom Peoria, IL

I like a big tent, but when have social conservatives ever reciprocated that truce? Exhibit A is that moderates (aka the real Republicans who are actually carrying on the tradition of Abraham Lincoln, IMO) don't have nasty, pejorative...

RINOTom Peoria, IL

... nicknames for social conservatives. Moderates are continually ridiculed by Tea Party members and constantly attacked in primaries. It's natural to fight back. And I can't imagine you'd ever vote for a Democrat, so as long as that's the...

It does suck that people want to associate me with your party, but I enjoy setting them straight. This is about the 100th time I've had the privilege to rail on your party while explaining that I'm not a republican.

You mentioned social conservatives, but this poll isn't about social values and my reasoning is in large measure an objection to the repubs horrid fiscal policy.

Republicans are not fiscal conservatives. You're democrats-lite. Repubs only talk about the budget and spending when they're the opposition party. You guys spend like democrats when in office. Hypocrites at the core.

So I'm constantly advertising against your party on both social and fiscal issues. When combined with the democrats we make a vocal opposition to your moribund party.

Ryan loves big government. Rubio and Bush love amnesty. Romney is a good man, but he wants to raise the minimum wage just like Santorum. Can I please have a conservative to vote for?
