When expressing your own opinion about how you feel about something for yourself, it's also ok to tell others that they shouldn't do x, y or z because you neither agree nor approve of it. Also, you shouldn't have to listen to criticism of your likes.

When I voice my opinion, I want you to listen, not question and not judge me!

When you voice yours, I'll be daydreaming, judging and asking you questions.
That's the way I roll :-)

Yes. You are free and welcome to express your opinion, but no one is obligated to listen to it. Just as you are not obligated to listen to anyone else's.

No one has the right to judge others or tell others what they can and can't do just because it might be something we don't agree with. And if you can't take criticism of your own viewpoints then you've got some weak viewpoints.

I'm gonna be a total pain and say... Yeah, we actually do have that right, but it's socially unacceptable. ;)

Well you're certainly entitled to your opinion. We just are of different minds on this topic.

And that demonstrates my point exactly right there. Anyone has the *right* to say what they want. And you have the *right* to walk away.

There is nothing that prohibits me from telling you that typing in black and white is horribly racist and that I utterly disapprove. But it's horrendously gauche (and factually incorrect).

I was speaking more towards the judging part. None of us are qualified to pass judgement on others, none of us are righteous enough to have that right.

And I was being a nitpick (I mentioned I was being a pain). We shouldn't judge, but we totally can. ;)

I'm working on a detail-heavy project, so I've been more nitpicky than normal in the last day or so. I'll get over it. :)

In the world of two-year-olds that may be true. In the real world it is very false.
