Have you ever been arrested?
13% are idiots.
Yeah, a couple times for barroom fights.
Me, no but my school is infamous for pot, the canine unit was there yesterday
Awww shucks.....yes... <blushes>
I got a parking ticket, that's about it. I had to run in to get some lotion or shampoo or something and I couldn't find it. And when I came out I found a ticket. I couldn't get mad because the sign said no parking...
Came close, Got into argument with dog officer who came for an injured dog with a noose on a 15' poll. I was irate and gave him a bad time of which he called police. So a neighbor and I went to the station. I wouldn't apologize. Thank God for dad!
Once in Mexico.
Always have enough money in the bank for a good lawyer. They are worth their weight in gold.
2 misdemeanors and 1felony. As a teenager though so theyre off my record.
Not in a Bit.
Fuck her in the pussy.
How are you not banned for saying this? Tony banned me for the exact same line. Lol
More times than I care to admit.
Sort of, when I was a dumb teenager I stole something and the security guard stopped me and called my dad. No police involved, no official record of my stupidity.
No, but I was very lucky/talented(?) through my klepto years....
I like how libertarians have the largest amount who have been arrested haha
Stealing baseball cards from Walmart when I was 12 haha
What is going on in S. Dakota?
If you haven't atleast been in handcuffs......you haven't lived life and life's to short to not experience something that crazy
Yes and I'm only 14 (long story these bullies lied on me and said I threatened them blah blah) and said it for fun idky?? But the school took it seriously
See: accusation is the proof in the modern nanny state.
Not formally arrested and not charged. But gun to the back of my head, cuffs put on, brought to the station, and kept in a holding cell.
In college because my roommate was smoking herb. I was in class. The police lied and said I was growing weed. Effing pigs
Yes; not close to as often as I should have been. Lucky me. Fortunately I learned young that judges are most lenient if people hire lawyers. Was always released within half a day, usually long before 9am arraignment. Thank God I sobered up...
...and straightened out long before the "3 strikes you're out" law went into effect.
Technically if you've ever had a speeding ticket you have been arrested and your license is bail.
Yes but I was innocent. Lol.
Are you kidding me? I'm a middle class white man; I'm never going to get arrested XD
Retired military here. Arrest in the military means "moral restraint". So, no cuffs or actual jail time. Was questioned, charged, and released. I was young,19, and dumb. I received an Article 15 - 2 weeks extra duty and a $250 fine. Lucky.
Technically, no...I wasn't charged with a crime. But I was cuffed (restrained) for my own protection and put on a 72-hour hold that ended up barely being 24 hours because I was a threat to myself.
Does a speeding ticket count?
If you were arrested because of it, yes.
Yes it does and they're suppose to take your license as bail.
no. am I being detained?
Close, but I've lucked out more than a few times in my life.
I'm not proud of this, political. I was arrested on a DUI. I thought I was doin' good 'cuz I was ALMOST home and cars were FLYIN' by me, providing excellent 'cover'.
Come to find out the reason I was pulled over was for doin' 20MPH in a 55MPH! :-/
Nope. Only been in a situation with cops once; friends of mine were smoking weed on the roof of the mall (I was not), and security showed up and then the cops. They just scolded them and off we went.
No. Cited for obstruction once for leaving an accident scene. But the judge tossed it when I told him my reason
(I was naked and just wanted to get some clothes on before the cops arrived.)
Loooong story :-p
We've got the time...
Go on... :-)
19th birthday, best friend had a pool & parents were out of town, we had a party with friends & went skinny dipping. Lots of alcohol, and after everyone left, my bff & I made the stupid decision to go on a 'naked joy ride' with my same-aged cousin in
only our towels. Cuz started driving erratically & we crashed into a large brick mailbox, went airborne, and landed his dad's jeep on its side in the middle of someone's front yard. Towels got lost in the wreckage, so residents came outside at 3am to
see three naked teenage boys climbing out of the crash. Panicked & drunk, my cousin & I ran through the neighborhoods back to my friend's house completely naked. I *knew* we were in trouble, but just wanted my clothes! Police picked us up at bff's
house and took us back to the crash, where they wrote me an 'obstruction of justice'-type ticket for leaving the scene, but absolutely threw the book at my cousin who was driving very drunk and underage. We were lucky to be alive, quite honestly
The funny aftermath is that all of us worked at Domino's, & the local cops that would come in for free pizza gave us hell for YEARS & still told stories down at the station about 'the night those three naked boys climbed out of that jeep' Haha
That's such a funny story; thanks for telling it.
Reminds me just a little of the time I got caught skinny dipping in a river. By a guy with a shotgun. I can relate very well to the "I knew we were in trouble, but just wanted my clothes!" part.
No and I don't plan on it.
I just follow the law.
Arrested? Oh yea. Let's see... at least a dozen times if memory serves.
Everything from driving on a suspended license (they actually booked me) to vandalism, disorderly conduct, assault (a couple times... bar fights), to resisting arrest, etc. Which is why you will never hear me tell a lawyer joke, mine was awesome.
Not in the US.
only 18 and part of the small percentage that said yes. then again if the herb was legal i would have had no reason to have ever been arrested
For being too hott yes.
Maybe they should've let you off with a "fine."
Yes, but no charges were brought.
No thank god!
Am I the only one seeing South Dakota as blue?
Yeah but that is only because there was one lone vote. :-/
No I have not been
I'm actually surprised at the results.
Didn't expect that many criminals to be on SOH...
What's even worse is when they're wealthy...gotta love stereotypes and brain washing.
You are not an American if you haven't. The justice system is driven by money so I've seen my fare share of bogus arrests. Even if you're not guilty you're guilty. Discrimination my ass.
No. I've been lucky.
Lots of times in my past.
Not yet, but I'm still young.
