Have you ever had a deaf teacher?
for sign language class
Im not kidding.
I had a chemistry teacher who was deaf due to old age. He wouldn't wear a hearing aid and you literally had to yell at him your questions or comments so he could hear you. Worst teacher I've ever had.
Never had one
Yes. I was in a program in high school where I worked w/deaf teachers as an aide in another school for deaf kids. I built signing skills because they insisted I stop writing what I didn't know sign for. Could interpret for them @ end of year.
My sign language teacher was deaf.
No, but there was a legally deaf woman working drive through at a McDonald's by my house once. Still can't figure out why.
Yes, but not in school. I took an intro to ASL class. The main instructors were HOH and they had Deaf guest instructors to speak about the community and events.
Sadly, I am completely oral and don't personally know anyone that signs so it is very hard for me to maintain even a basic vocabulary.
No, but I wish I did.
No, but I did have a little person as one. :)
I had a blind maths lecturer. He used to direct students to take questions to his Guide Dog and needed guidance when cleaning or overwriting on the blackboard.
A deaf best friend as a kid and an almost deaf best friend now, but never a teacher.
I personally haven't but there's one at my school
For English. She also didn't like me at all...
I've never met a deaf person at all.
Yes was one of the best drafting teachers I ever had!
No, but I've had a deaf student.
