Yes. I'm hopeful that iOS8 goes back to white type on a black background. It's readable. Light blue on white ISN'T.

Wait until people's homes start being hacked... Or the NSA starts collecting "metadata" about your home life. It's the new B&E.

No one is making you implement this stuff into your home, and the tech already exist they're just making the iDevices be able to communicate with them and whatnot..

I've never used Siri in my life but I bet iOS 8 will be cool

Hands free Siri will be a great addition for communication while driving.

Airdrop between Yosemite & ios8. A welcomed addition for my indiv & group workflow.

Love upgrades to calendar & mail. I may finally get rid of Microsoft outlook for Mac.

Your post points something out... Apple new products will more likely strengthen it's base of existing users but less likely to gain new users. Non-Apple users won't be interested in your post at all.

Why? Don't you like wasting hundreds of dollars so you could be monitored and recorded 24/7 by the NSA?

Lol jk, but seriously, why not?

06/09/14 2:10 pm

Ya know, for me, it just boils down to ambivalence. I'm just used to knowing my home, knowing when things need maintained, changed, monitored, etc., and have never really needed any 'help'. Maybe someday I'll rethink.
Today is not that day. :)

AnonBiscuit In Murica

They won't force you to use it tho, they're just making it able to communicate with the monitoring systems etc.

They need more innovations not steps.

Long lasting battery? Non-cracking screen? Solar-screen? Wallet? Biometrics monitoring? Real TV?

I don't care about a new scripting language for programmers and siri can now misquote more languages.

Lol each of these are innovations. Technology doesn't just happen. It progresses.

Yes on the Biometrics Monitoring. BP, pulse, temp, pulseOx, blood sugar (I know...needs blood) all in one magical device would change/help so many lives. They're close, but the diabetes metric is the hard one.

I have a lot of apple devices but I have to be honest. I have an android phone and even with iOS 8 it still can do more than the iPhone (updated). I do like the new swift feature and the health thing but other than that It's no
Different than before.

Just buy out and take over Cydia and introduce it as a store similar to the App Store/iTunes store. I would think that would be their best move.

AnonBiscuit In Murica
06/09/14 1:28 pm

That's not Apple. They wouldn't open a store like that due to the security issues, which Apple is quite serious about(At least compared to Adroid)

ThinkAboutIt Staten Island, NY
06/09/14 1:32 pm

I agree and doubt that it will ever be possible but they can approve of certain app packages similar to the App Store.

AnonBiscuit In Murica
06/09/14 1:34 pm

It will happen, but not soon...
Just like the customizable keyboard and notification widgets, low security features will be implemented with higher security so it doesn't go down Adroid's way...

Innovation didn't die with Jobs, there's only so much you can invent or buy out. He knew he was dying, he would have left all his new unreleased ideas with cook. What else do we need? Nothing. We expect so much from this Chinese company.

Maybe the customizable keyboard, because the iOS7 version of it with the wrong color shift keys and dysfunctional key-slide apostrophe drives me nuts. Hands-free Siri might be good too, depending on what that means.

MericaRules

And android did that first ya kno. Android looked completely different until iPhone came out. Android copied the entire look and idea. Android has copied far more than apple has. What apple copies at least it improves on.

melders Entertainment Sometimes
06/03/14 5:42 pm

Lancepark, Mac OS and iOS don't count. Google has an equivalent to hands-free Siri ("Okay, Google"), and Android has customizable keyboards. That's half of the list.

Yeah, less garish colors would be nice, as well as icons that don't look like they were designed for a seven year old.

AnonBiscuit In Murica
06/09/14 1:44 pm

There's actually some options in Settings to change some colors and stuff to make it have more darker colors but I forgot where to find it.. I'll look for the settings...

AnonBiscuit In Murica
06/09/14 1:57 pm

Go to Settings;
1.General
2.Accessibility
3.Increase Contrast
4.Turn all on.
5.Go back to Accessibility
6. Reduce Motion - Turn on reduce motion

I think there's more but this is all I can find for now...
