Mayo and pickle relish.
Apples maybe, no celery.
Never heard of onion in tuna salad.

I have a good friend who likes nothing but mayo in her tuna salad. Which, when it becomes *our* tuna salad, it kinda boring for me. But better than *no* tuna salad, I guess. My mom always used onions & sweet pickles, & it's still my favorite.
