Assuming that nothing is expected in return, is it ok to overtip a bartender or server simply because you find them attractive?

There is no such thing as over tipping. Service industry workers get paid next to nothing.

As a former server, I don't care what your motivation is to tip. Overtop because it's raining, fine by me. Just don't cop a feel & we're good.

It's your money, you are free to do with it what you want!

A bar was closing. A bunch of guys on site went in for a drink. She was really pretty. We help her close up, poured our own beer. she got a hundred buck tip. Happy lady!

And we were nice to her to boot! Not all fellas are sex maniac. She was nice and we were nice.

As long as you aren't sexually harassing me I don't care why I'm getting tipped

And it's ok to tip extra in order to elicit better service. I've known people that tipped at the beginning of a meal or evening at the bar in order to get better-than-average service. Tipping in hopes of sexual attention is wrong though.

OK? In what sense? It's your money & it's a flexible system. I think there something creepy about paying more for service just because someone's attractive, though.

Looking never hurt. I would find it more disconcerting if my SO was a robot.

Yes, as long as you don't under tip because you don't find them attractive.

As long as nothing is expected in return, that's as good a reason as any. There are lots of reasons beyond good looks to find someone attractive. One of the best-tipped and most hit-on bartenders I ever knew was relatively plain, but super funny.

Sure, just don't harass them and feel like the tip gave you that right. But do what you want with your money!

Sure, I'm sure they'd appreciate the money. As long as you don't feel it entitles you to anything, you can tip them as much as you'd like.

As a waitress, over tip me for whatever reasoning you want to use, as long as you don't harass me.

If you find him attractive he must be funny helpful and friendly. Otherwise I would not find him attractive in that setting.

don't make a show of it or tell them that's why and it should be fine.
