If African-American is seen as more appropriate than black, should European-American be used in place of white?
I've never been a fan of hyphenated race descriptions. We are all Americans. I would say black before I'd say African-American. And if I'm at my black friends', I would rather be called white than "German-American" or whatever I am.
Nice Q. Dunno. Don't go for the "we're all Murican", but don't want segregate us from one another. Ditch the "melting pot" and embrace the "Chef salad".
