Do you tend to listen to new music, or do you stick to the music of your adolescence/young adulthood? (Young adults - just make a prediction)

A combination. I actually didn't like a whole lot of music for my age in HS. I like Classic Rock and alot of the new stuff they're making with a folk/blues rock vibe is very cool.

i go back and forth between the two, usually dependent on the quality of the local radio station.

When I was younger (in the late '90s / early '00s), I'd listen to Buddy Holly-era oldies, and some classic rock, which back then meant '60s and '70s. Now, I mainly listen to '90s grunge.

More old than new, but I still listen to some newer stuff.

I preferred "oldies" even when I was young, but I like a lot of new music too. Have extremely eclectic tastes.

I'd say a little bit of both.

Most of the music I listen to actually comes from before I was born.

I usually listen to a lot of newer stuff, but lately I've been tuning into a Sirius station that plays mainly early 90s Grunge and Alternative. Brings back a lot of memories, but I don't want to be that guy!

Yeah, Lithium is my go-to station, too.

Highly! Really. Let me straighten out my skirt, square my shoulders and thrust out my breasts just a little.

My... well if we're being all proper-like, let me just say it's an absolute pleasure to be making your acquaintance. :)

Kick out your two fav bands that you are certain I have never heard. Let's c if the meet n greet was mutually beneficial.

Two observations first:
1) the fact you're asking for bands you haven't heard of probably means this is going to be difficult.
2) this would have been much easier 10 years ago as I haven't a clue what's popular in *any* circle these days.

But let's go with a couple of my recent favorites - Ultraista and Savages.

How about you? What are two bands I haven't heard that I must do?

t.A.T. u. and Serebro

nothing serious there, just some real fun with video and music. More later.

Mostly relatively new stuff, but some oldies too. And a lot of new stuff done by old people. Neil Young is still a favorite. I heard Crimson and Clover on Orphan Black today - I'd forgotten how good it was.

Both, 70s/80s for sentimental reasons but I keep up with the times and pick some contemporary songs, one of my favorites is "get lucky", but isn't that sooo 2013 ;)

Old crap mostly. We're talking 50s & 60s. I only learn to appreciate newer stuff when someone shoves it in my face, like my daughter (80s) or one of my Y aerobics instructors (2000s). Left to my own devices, I revert to Dylan, Seeger, etc.

I didn't listen to the radio for a while because I am a fan of *new* music, but they just overplay the crap out if it. I have a lot of "oldies" on my iTunes and usually go to it once the radio has played "The Best Day of My Life" for the 6th time..

I enjoy listening to the music I know and love, but I also like discovering bands that are new and new to me.
