I can also write a single sentence that can not be described with a picture.
Pictures may have a lot of data, but language is more articulate and more lucid -- free from the boundaries of a physical world.

At work someone can explain and explain a complex process and eventually it sinks in... However show me one flow chart and it's immediate. Try explaining a PowerPoint on a conference call while not showing the actual document..

As a teacher I can attest that this is true. Students generally understand things they can see much quicker and with fewer words, than things you explain to them without a visual example.

Nowadays pictures, to me, mean less; with all of the ways to change and photoshop a photo you never know if everything you see in the picture is true.

Well I think a picture worth 1000 words is true because 1 person could say this is beautiful and another person could say it's sad. So I agree.

I'd like to think that a picture is worth much more than a thousand words, and that a word is worth millions upon millions of words and pictures.

Disagree, only because anything really is worth infinite amounts of words. But sometimes fewer words are more valuable in effect than a pointless thousand.

I'm 50/50 on this. Some pictures capture an image at a time that is priceless in what it conveys. Some pictures can be like written words and be taken out of context.

If you are on camera doing something, saying "I did not do that" 1000 times still doesn't disprove the picture, and that's like 5000 words! :)

I think words can paint beautiful pictures and the most inspiring thing I have ever observed was a written verse though I do appreciate art in its other mediums.

It depends on the subject. A really great landscape would be tough to adequately describe in 1,000 words, but a picture of how to do something as simple as drive a car is a few hundred words short of enough. If I can only have one, I choose words.

No. It goes way beyond the flowers in the background and the two smiling kids in their best dressed clothes. Take a look at their eyes - the eyes never lie.
