No but the current Senate should be spanked. Oh wait -- they'd all like that.

I would be in favor of redrawing the states borders to make them all even in population, then it would be okay to have a Senate.

Here is one idea. Try to get past the strange names given for the states. fakeisthenewreal.org/reform/

Yeah sure lets just completely uproot centuries of state history to create new proportional state governments that will have to be redrawn every few years or so. We all know how good governments are at drawing boundaries fairly so it should work well

No, I firmly believe in the separation of powers. A bicameral Congress is more responsible than a unicameral one. The Senate has always been the voice of reason in Congress in that they are less partisan, more organized, and more eternal. If anything

we should repeal the 17th amendment and return the Senate to it's more sensible job of representing the states within the union.

Not that I disagree, but does that logic imply that a tricameral legislative branch would be even more responsible? Why or why not?

A tricameral legislature would be more responsible, but there has to be a pragmatic compromise between efficiency and checks and balances in government. In my opinion two is enough

No. Two houses are needed as a check on each other's power.
