@wed... The dislike button could be for just a quick disagreement. You can still comment and say why you disagree or agree but sometimes there's nothing more to be said than "no, I disagree".

This is in beta testing now and should be available in a week or so (it would be sooner, but Apple is taking a week off of reviewing app updates).

Exactly what I was going to ask Tony about. I feel like I've been on this app for a long time every day and would love to see how long I have been on it in comparison to others, etc.

I dunno, I kind of like the anonymity of it all. That's what makes these comments so fun - being able to have an open conversation with people without any labels or preconceived notions about who they are or what they think. It keeps the conversations pure, in my opinion.

Clicking "like" can show how many people strongly agree with your opinion. Same thing for the "dislike" button. As is, we only know how many people strongly agree with us unless they comment their opposition. This way with a "dislike" it'll be much quicker to disagree without having to comment.

That's why I'm a Libertarian. Fiscally conservative and socially liberal. I think if more people looked into it, they would find they are also Libertarian.

Agreed. My workaround is to open a reply window just below the comment with the URL, type it as a reply carefully blocking autocorrect, then copy and paste it into Safari before canceling and closing the reply window. Not great, but not horrible either.

I think this would be fun.
However, here's my most-wanted improvement: clickable links!
People post long URLs and it is VERY difficult to type them into a browser. I have started to use tinyurl, at times, but that's a pain, as well.

I almost wish tony would create an app geared for the under 18 age category. I think a lot of the nonsense comments come from the young users.

There is an independent category. I see the wisdom in all parties. I wish they could learn from each other and work out some practical healthy solutions for our country more often. They also need enough character to do what has to be done. They all know what has to be done, but are afraid.

Nay. I like the open, anonymous, individual dialog here.
Maybe I'm thinking too much into it, but I think it could sway opinions to inch more towards collectivism.

Is there a way to get a notification of when someone likes or replies to our comments??
Maybe it can be on the main menu...

wedaslaves no, it's not me. If I like it, I leave it, and I like many if your comments. It happens often to me though.
A lot if people seem to like too early, then after some thought say "Wait a minute, wait a minute. I don't like that." Boom - Unlike. A mirror of life and relationships.

These and many more coming (eventually) to an SOH app near you. Your overall red/blue % vs SOH, a ranking of which demographic groups your agree with most often, maybe even a feature to find (with permission on both sides) your "SOH soul-mate": the single user that you agree with most often.

I think I'll start with it just being an overall score - not broken down by category for version 1. However, more statistical breakdowns are in the future as well, if enough people seem to like them.

Gonzo - imagine being able to see a numeric score of how often you agree with each of your friends, family members, or even anonymous SOH users who have given you permission. That's the idea. Personally I think it will be more fun when used with real-life friends and family, but that's just me.
