Are you going to carve a pumpkin for Halloween this year?
didn't get a chance to
Just carved "Mumford & Sons" into my pumpkin!!!<3
I just do Halloween to be with my friend s and get hyped up on candy so duh
Yes! A Wu-Tang pumpkin! ????
Wooohhoooo! I knew it would work! Thanks to the people who did reply to my comment! People care 'bout me!
Good one...! :)
I agree, Rosebud!
C'mon people, carving a pumpkin is FUN!
I'm putting some seeds aside for planting early next spring too.
No way. Went to the pumpkin patch got some beautiful red pumpkins they are wonderful for pie making rather than waste them. I'm going to roast the seeds cook the pumpkin and have Some soup, bread, and pie
Only to get the seeds out and cook them! Oink
That's okay, more candy for us!
C'mon you party poopers, carve a pumpkin!
Well, my school has an annual pumpkin carving contest. My advisory's doing Russian Nesting Dolls pumpkins.
That sounds like an awful way to live your life
Nope. I don't believe in celebrating Halloween.
Breakdown of sexes is for country, not state.
Why not? I'm Christian. Don't celebrate it as important to my beliefs, but as a day that's fun for my daughter and all children. It's exciting Nd fun.
Only 35? That's sad. It's so fun.

Next year we'll probably have to carve a guitar on a pumpkin just to get him to take an interest in the project. ;)
Interested in painting. Even now. It's just not his thing, no matter how big a deal I make of it. It's a shame too because I'm an artist.
He takes after his dad and would much prefer to spend every minute of the day playing his drum, piano or any other instrument (which he has tons of).
Mama3- It was funky, lol. I wish I had taken a picture of it last year. It was funny (in an adorable way) to see that tiny, sloppily painted, solid grey pumpkin on top of the carved jack-o-lanterns of his older cousins.
Unfortunately he wasn't too enthused about the process. He's not very...
Is something I dreamed of longingly every autumn for the three years it took to try and conceive him and even in the years before that when my husband and I first talked of getting married.
I was simply explaining that my very young son doesn't yet get the concept of that narrow definition (nor can he safely do one). I was also expressing my excitement for next year when he probably will get the concept because I LOVE carving pumpkins and having a single, collaborative family pumpkin
Implication that I don't encourage and/or take pride in my son's creativity and self expression based on a couple of sentences on a board that has a very small limit on the number of characters one can use.
My idea of a "jack-o-lantern" and a "carved pumpkin" is a very narrow definition and..
I also didn't consider the little grey pumpkin (or any one he may do this year)a "family jack-o-lantern" It was HIS pumpkin.
By "family jack-o-lantern" I meant it as a concise way of saying a large-ish pumpkin that, say, I draw a face on, my husband carves and my son help de-gut.
I resent the...
I never said I didn't put that little grey pumpkin on the porch next to the one his cousin painted. I just don't consider painting a pumpkin as "carving a pumpkin" and to be honest I don't really consider it a jack-o-lantern unless it has a face.
we don't carve them but we Do decorate with them. and I eat them through the holiday season (baked or fried like any good squash should be)
Just carved one today!
Well of course-- and cook the seeds
@durza: If I had kids at home, I'm certain I'd feel differently, so understand your post. The "kids" I reference here are kids in general, kids that'll be stoppin' by for candy, not to check out my Halloween decor.
Carving and cooking pumpkins are not the same kind.
That's sad that you don't carve pumpkins with your kids
Yep. Every year.
I thought you need the seeds to grow pumpkins.
Carve one for yourself! :)
Awwww I would let him color it gray! It can be a funky pumpkin/jack-o-lantern! :)
No. I'm going to paint pumpkins though.
Nope, that's two less pumpkin pies.
No carving here. I consider the great majority to have more the Halloween Spirit than I, so I'll let them have all the fun! Besides, the kids know EXACTLY what they want, and it has nothing to do with a large gutted-out piece o' fruit!
Wish I had someone to carve a pumpkin for!
Already did. Next up is a PUMPKIN KEG for my Halloween party!!! If you are interested look it up on YouTube. It's pretty sick.
Not how it works.
"I wish I could use my middle name." Now, THAT'S a joke!
Only if your moms face is a pumpkin! :P Just kidding. Happy October. :)
I remember a time the comments weren't filled with morons. Oh wait, no, I'm thinking of MySpace. Yeah, that was the place.
