What about the all star game

02/27/12 2:56 pm

am I one of the only Democrats that voted racing?

02/26/12 9:46 pm

Wow. The Oscars were surprisingly unpredictable. I only got 14/24 right.
I'm still mad that the social network didn't win last year.

@Gunny True to an extent. But there is far more to basketball than driving in circles.

gramps
02/26/12 7:15 pm

and now the race is Monday.

Interesting republican turnout!

02/26/12 4:48 pm

Neither really but if I had to I choose the oscars

@momma! If they didn't chase you away then in a half a second there could be a car in the fence coming toward you and hundreds of fans clinging to the fence. Not to mention all the hot rubber being thrown off of the tires. I usually stand there when I'm on my way to and from the bathroom.

Walking Dead is a pretty decent series. Good characters, decent plot. Mrs Gunny DVR's it for me. One of the few shows I watch.

02/25/12 11:52 pm

Gimme The Walking Dead over either.

02/25/12 9:58 pm

The great thing about NASCAR is anyone can see it live. One thing I hate about it live was the biggest rush is standing near the gate and feeling the whoosh but they chase you away. And the drivers are obtainable unlike actors. All my family loves NASCAR I am not fan but respect it.

@GunnySgt: I don't understand basketball teams that have no idea about offensive rebounding.

I'd like to see some of these people who think its just a Sunday drive pull 1-3 gs for four hours. Idiots.

GunnyGunz Virginia
02/25/12 7:44 pm

Because not all the courses/tracks are ovals.

GunnyGunz Virginia
02/25/12 7:43 pm

And drivers don't always "turn left".

GunnyGunz Virginia
02/25/12 7:42 pm

And some of us have difficulty watching an "award" show where an "award" is so subjective as the Oscars. Much less watching the "winners" thank everyone under the sun for their "award".

GunnyGunz Virginia
02/25/12 7:38 pm

@veritas, some of us don't understand why people like a pro sport where (only) men (NBA) run back & forth in a confined space for ~60 minutes, trying to put a ball through a hoop with a net. Then everyone applauds when a 6'10 man dunks. Repeatedly. Did I mention they get time outs? To each his own.

02/25/12 6:55 pm

They should have the red carpet at the finish line and run them both simultaneously! Now THAT would be entertaining!

veritas1 Panda
02/25/12 3:52 pm

I honestly don't understand what is interesting about watching people go in circles (fine…ovals) for hours on end. The only interesting parts aren't supposed to happen (crashes).

veritas1 Panda
02/25/12 3:50 pm

The Oscars are a lot less predictable than usual this year. The Artist will win best picture. Jean Dujardin and Viola Davis will win actor/actress. Scorsese or Hazanavicius will win best director. Screenplay is actually a toss up.

Either way, I'll be watching the All-Star Game-Howard will be MVP.

02/25/12 2:27 pm

Daytona-all weekend! I'm always fascinated by those who slam NASCAR fans. I also enjoy football, baseball, basketball, golf, etc- all involving people running up and down a field over and over or chasing a small ball around- yet it's being a NASCAR fan makes me an idiot? I'll take it- go Bowyer!

02/25/12 2:17 pm

@babbler, why don't you just go drink you'r special kookade, koolade

snuzzy
02/25/12 1:52 pm

I just want to watch Fashion Police after the Oscars. They are hilarious!

Babble: way to be a jerk, does insulting people make you feel good about yourself?

HolyBabble Mississippi
02/25/12 11:14 am

I'm gonna drive, I'm gonna go fast, and I'm gonna turn to the left sometimes.

HolyBabble Mississippi
02/25/12 10:50 am

I'm not poor and stupid enough to watch cars drive around in a circle.

I guess I haven't drank enough Vagisil.

gramps
02/25/12 10:46 am

I'll probably watch the Blackhawks

PartyFree Nowhere in Particular
02/25/12 10:14 am

I can't stand The Oscars. I'd rather have a root canal than waste 7 or 8 hours of my time watching that crap.

AGC246 Florida
02/25/12 9:32 am

I honestly never watch either... Lol.
But I chose Oscar's because I'd rather watch celebs saying "oh thank you so so so much! " & clips of TV shows & movies... Than "left turn! ...left turn!.... Left turn!!... Ohh somebody crashed again." LOL ... I'm not a big fan of either... xD

HolyBabble Mississippi
02/25/12 9:25 am

"film is my life"

Are you a director, actor, producer, cameraman etc etc?

103TheCut
02/25/12 8:14 am

Film is my life, the Oscars is one of the biggest nights of the year for me.

bturney
02/25/12 7:53 am

Oscars???? Who wants to see a bunch of overpaid idiots parade in front of a camera... Wait... That's pretty much anything you watch on TV anymore...

02/25/12 6:50 am

um why isn't my bray an option?

dadstad Texas
02/25/12 5:42 am

I won't watch either but voting for the Oscars was inconceivable and the cars were lesser of two boring events.

HolyBabble Mississippi
02/25/12 5:17 am

Thankfully 71% of you answered this correctly.

Hollywood sucks, but watching a bunch of dorks drive around in a circle really fast sucks even more.

GunnyGunz Virginia
02/25/12 4:12 am

Academy awards are too subjective.

@catman Because Wyoming is awesome.

02/24/12 11:25 pm

To those who question what skill or athleticism is involved in NASCAR- you get in a car & go 200 mph with 42 of your closest enemies; flip a few times only to crawl out and tell everyone you're ok & then let us know whether or not you used any skill.

ncbuc Get Over It

I don't mind him as much as how everybody thinks he's great. He's the perfect picture of overrated. But seems like an alright guy. I'd sit and have a beer with the dude.

Earnhardt fan is what it should read

ncbuc Get Over It
02/24/12 10:35 pm

Haha. You know...I was not an Earnhardt. that day, when I saw the car wrecked. I told my wife and I quote "there's something I like to see, the 3 car wrecked." I've regretted that statement since. I would've never wished that on any of them regardless of my opinion. And I do miss seeing bout there.

gramps
02/24/12 9:57 pm

I've said to family and friends for many years, any body but earnhart.

Catman. It's because their are so few people voting in that state.

Lolol neither. But NASCAR blows..
