If I had to use PC hardware I would put Ubuntu on it.

Updated to Windows 8. Actually like it better than 7. Yeah.....took a little bit to get used too but it's FAST and stable.

Yes on my boot camp on my Mac. The elect. engineering students get it free as part of our departments MSDN subscription. I'm sure some of the technical fees I pay pay for that so I try to get whatever is useful to me when I can!

10/28/12 6:34 am

Already upgraded. It looks very Apple-esque.

I was die-hard PC user, until I was forced to use a mac. I have nothing to prove by being 'pro mac,' i just can't believe I was resistant for so long!

Then get yourself a pc, I'm sure that'll last you 5+ years virus free... Not.

I think Mac books aren't that impressive. I have a school issued Mac book pro and it has its issues. I know it costs $1200 and my laptop at home is less than half that price. My home laptop runs faster, has better programs, and is 5 years old. Apple is overhyped.

Do people with a Mac seem like they have something to prove?

10/26/12 7:15 pm

you actually can. Haha. My brother and mother both do.

10/26/12 7:14 pm

I've used both, and could never go to a PC. I'm not saying Apple is perfect and always puts out perfect products, but it just doesn't compare in my mind.

10/26/12 7:13 pm

iOS all the way

10/26/12 6:59 pm

I am neither for Mac or Microsoft, but I don't understand the die hard Mac users and why everyone gets so excited when apple basically rereleases the same product over and over. I give Microsoft credit for trying something new... Looks cool.

That is not true at all

Apple snob all the way. Won't touch Microsoft or Windows.

10/26/12 5:21 pm

No. I was thinking about getting the iPad mini, but am disappointed in that too. Maybe I'll fall for the Samsung note 2 ... When I'm ready for a new cellular contract.

10/26/12 3:52 pm

not no but F No! !! I did beta testing of it for a month. determined that this is going to be in the same category as Win ME or Vista. Maybe students will like it but those in the work no no. just my opinion.

You are right... Macs are on a different level of awesomeness!

10/26/12 2:06 pm

Windows 8 is SOOOO different it would throw off my entire family

10/26/12 2:03 pm

@MrsBlckBrd I did. Macs aren't nearly as good as PCs

There will be a desktop version of Windows 8.

10/26/12 12:14 pm

my iMac is 8 years old and doing great. I had to put a new hard drive in but I did it myself for $65. Macs simply work better and last longer.

You cant upgrade computers to Windows 8 because its only for tablets

10/26/12 11:13 am

Because they understand what people ACTUALLY want and make its easy to use. Not what they think is best for consumers to figure out and struggle using.

Kinda the same story here. They last so much longer, need less upkeep, no antivirus, updates are cheaper, better performance (even runs windows better than a pc). If you're worried about versatility, don't because its more compatible than ever now. Just put windows on it to run your programs!

10/26/12 10:51 am

Show fo Hands, you misspelled downgrade.

Janarus when you have major software developers saying this move will be the downfall of windows, and many software and game developers indicating they may not bother to develop things for the system it's safe to say Microsoft is out of touch. But thanks for being a dick anyway.
