Excluding showers, do you usually wash your hands more than 5 times per day?

I wash my hands that much only if I have to go to the bathroom that much and/or if I forget to wear my pushing gloves on a muddy day.

01/10/13 8:16 pm

I'm the exact same way.
Probably get a minor cold that goes away every winter, and maybe some random thing that keeps me from school maybe once every 1-2 years. Haven't gotten a sickness to make me throw up in about 4 years.

01/10/13 8:13 pm

It's disgusting to think of all of the people who have touched the money and who has probably touched it as well o.0

01/10/13 8:11 pm

Yeah I would be the same
way if I were you, I don't like being sick, or when other people are sick, especially when it is a small child because they usually don't try to cover their coughs/sneezes, they just hack all over the place, and honestly, it grosses me out.

01/07/13 8:16 pm

Ew dude. That's just WRONG! ????

For starters, after each trip to (any) restroom, so YES, of course!

I work at a hospital. I wash my hands almost 50 times a day, so yes.

01/06/13 9:43 pm

Bc of my workplace I wash my hands a lot.

01/06/13 9:40 pm

I work in the micro lab at a major Hospital, so I am constantly exposed to nasty viruses an bacteria. I still only wash my hands maybe 5 times a day tops; I answered no on this, but I bet I have a great immune system!

That's all probably true (the "hygiene hypothesis") in general, but I still like to wash my hands after I use the bathroom, & between messy kitchen prep, and that's usually at least 5/day. I don't, however, buy ANY antibacterial soap or other products with only 1 exception. That stuff's stupid.

These results are unbelievable to me. Probably a big reason why kids are allergic to everything these days. Better to develop immune systems in my opinion. Let kids pick their nose, get licked by the dog, play in the dirt etc.. We're animals and we have to adapt to living in our environment.

No. I was in the Navy- they taught us not to piss on our hands!

Wait 'till you get older Quinnipiac. I'm up to about once every 3-4 hours, plus first thing in the morning and last thing before bed. I figure it would be double that if I was a girl, based on how many extra stops I have to make when traveling with a girl.

Yes, it's that RN training. Best way to avoid spreading and picking up germs.

Most infectious diseases spread by touch. Guess what's the best way to prevent that?

Although urine is usually sterile, there's a lot of bacteria in that area...

Actually, m4, I'm immunocompromised. An abundance of germs makes me weak. And I'd rather not spread fecal matter everywhere I touch.

01/06/13 3:07 am

Only when I poop.

01/06/13 2:51 am

I don't keep track! But I'm pretty sure I do!

That might be do more harm than good unless it's because of your environment or workplace.

That is seriously disturbing. You're putting other people at risk.

H1N1, N1H1. At my agents all the same. And yes when I enter a hotel room it's a ritual of wiping and cleaning. Handles, faucets, remotes, bed boards, chairs and anything I know in gonna touch. Board-line OCD? Yep!!!
